2018: Nancy Pelosi Hell Bent on Helping Republicans

Remember Nancy Pelosi’s ill-fated ‘crumbs’ remark in criticism of the GOP tax cut bill?

Clearly she and her fellow ‘champions of the people’ are so tone-deaf they don’t understand that a thousand or two bucks is a big deal for the average American, especially when it comes in one lump sum as a bonus.

And that’s what has happened for millions of Americans so far.

This might explain why a new poll now shows a Republican advantage in the generic ballot going into the November election.

But that’s not stopping Pelosi from doubling down on her comment. Just this week she reiterated the word to describe the tax bill which a vast majority of Americans support.

As Trump suggested, Pelosi is the gift to the GOP that keeps on giving.

Here’s more from Redstate…

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi seems oddly determined to assist the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) with their efforts to re-elect House Republicans, doubling down on her comments that the bonuses companies have been paying their employees after the GOP tax cut bill are just “crumbs.”

As we reported earlier, at least 355 companies across the country have announced they will give their employees pay raises, bonuses, increased contributions to 401(k) plans, improved health insurance and other benefits. Pelosi and her fellow Democrats have been scrambling to find a way to minimize this news as the 2018 midterms approach.

Despite the ridicule Pelosi’s “crumbs” comment got — one Indiana Republican Congressman even named his bill to make these bonuses tax-free the “CRUMBS Act” to mock her — Pelosi did not hesitate to embrace the word again during a press conference yesterday.
