Failed Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke (D), who announced his bid for Texas governor in November, has reportedly raised $7.2 million since launching his campaign.
According to O’Rourke’s team, “the 46-day fundraising haul is a record for a Democratic candidate in Texas,” The Hill reported.
“I’m grateful to everyone who helped us raise more than $7.2 million in the first weeks of our campaign,” the Democrat said in a statement…
Greg Abbot (R) has shown to be no slouch on fundraising himself, with the Texas Governor reportedly boasting $65 million on hand, garnering $19 million of that from July to December alone.
O’Rourke, who unsuccessfully ran against Texas Senator Ted Cruz in 2018, doubled down on his desire to unconstitutionally seize AR-15s from the American people upon announcing his gubernatorial bid in November. Read more…
