Beto O’Rourke Says Texas Reopening is “Human Sacrifice”

Despite all the evidence that lockdowns, even in their most extreme forms, do little to nothing to stop the spread of COVID-19, but instead cause societal decay, extreme wealth inequality, and even arguably “destroys what makes us human,” former Democratic Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke says the decision to re-open the Texas economy amounts to a form of human sacrifice.

“They literally want to sacrifice the lives of our fellow Texans, for — I don’t know, for political gain? To satisfy certain powerful interests within the state? And this isn’t hyperbole,” O’Rourke told MSNBC on Wednesday when asked why he believed Texas Governor Greg Abbott made the decision to lift the statewide mask mandate and allow all businesses to reopen at full capacity.
