Former President Barack H. Obama. Wait just a second while we relish the sound of that moniker. Okay, we’re back. FPBHO has made it clear in recent days, via his aides, that he intends to come out of hiding in order to re-engage the political process. Now, we know of course that such a declaration is really meaningless because he was never OUT of the process in the first place, given his ‘soft coup’ orchestrated from his new DC home. Nevertheless, he’s now made it clear he plans to conduct a ‘delicate dance’ in which he’ll work to rebuild the Democrat Party in the build up to the 2018 mid-term elections. To which we say: “go ahead, punk, make my day”. With enemies like Hillary, Obama, Pelosi, Ellison and Mad Maxine playing the face of the new ‘better deal’ Democrats, who needs any friends?

Former President Barack Obama has been out of the public eye for the most part since Donald Trump’s inauguration. He’s been on a long vacation (roughly eight and a half years), but now he seems ready to get back into the fray. His goal? Help rebuild the Democratic Party.
Yep. You read that right.
One aide describes the beginning of a “delicate dance” that aims to put Obama in the Democratic fray but prevents him from remaining the face of the party.
Aides will huddle with Obama in the coming weeks to plot out what shape the former president’s fall schedule will take. Advisers close to him say that while he will play an active role in helping his party rebuild, much of his work will be behind the scenes.
He is likely to take on fundraising, for example, something he has done for the Democratic National Committee and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee since leaving office.
In recent months, Obama has played a larger behind the scenes role than was publicly known.
The Republican Party’s chances in 2018 have never looked so good.
