Many have speculated that the attack was spurred by the suspect’s anti-white, antisemitic and violent views, with Brooks having posted online in support of violence against white people. Brooks, a career criminal, was convicted of sex crimes against a minor in 2006.

“So when we start bakk knokkin white people TF out ion wanna hear it…the old white ppl 2, KNOKK DEM TF OUT!! PERIOD,” incited Brooks on his rap Facebook page. All six of the people who were killed in the parade attack were white.

So-called “politicization” of criminal acts and actions alleged to be crimes is extremely common in the United States, with the establishment media fixating upon the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery and falsely accusing Illinois youth Kyle Rittenhouse of murdering three hardened ANTIFA militants who attempted to kill him during an August 2020 Black Lives Matter riot.
