Surprising exactly no one, committed anti-gunner Representative Jerry Nadler (D-NY) used the weekend’s Virginia Beach shooting to promote MORE gun control. Nadler tweeted: “We are nearly 100 days since @HouseJudiciary passed #HR8, the universal background checks bill, in the House, and today there has been another mass shooting in America. Thoughts and prayers are not enough. We need action now! #EnoughIsEnough #EndGunViolence.” Except the .45 caliber handguns used in the rampage were legally purchased, leaving it unclear how this shooting bolsters the Left’s argument for HR8 “universal background checks bill.” In other words, this is a typical knee-jerk response from liberals who haven’t been “mugged by reality” yet.
