In countries like Nicaragua, jailing political rivals is a hallmark of tinpot dictatorships, and we must not allow this to happen in America.

The four-day ultimatum to report to the grand jury strongly suggests an impending arrest and indictment. This is the second target letter Trump has received, and it’s becoming evident that federal law enforcement is being weaponized and political differences are being criminalized to rig the 2024 election in Biden’s favor.
Taking Trump out of the political equation ahead of the 2024 election on spurious charges related to Jan. 6 would undermine the legitimacy of any future election. It could even create a new group of voters who claim the election has been preemptively stolen. Biden and Garland may believe they don’t need to be seen as legitimate by half the country after the 2020 election, but their weaponization of federal law enforcement will delegitimize the 2024 election before it even begins.
