Just as Texas and Louisiana get comfortable with the new post-Harvey normal, another massive storm has formed and is headed for the Florida coast.
Hurricane Irma has just been upgraded to Category 4 by the National Hurricane Center.
Should it continue on its current projected track, we could potentially see the two largest natural disasters in American history within the same month’s time.
And as you might imagine, global warming aficionados are crowing about how ‘climate change’ is to blame for all of this, conveniently forgetting that the last few years have been the quietest in decades.
Meanwhile, a very early autumn looks already to be underway.

The National Hurricane Center has elevated Hurricane Irma to a Category 4 storm with winds as high as 150 miles per hour in the next 24 hours.
There is an “increasing chance” Irma will hit South Florida and the Florida Keys later this week and weekend, the hurricane center said in a 5 p.m. advisory.
Irma could directly hit the British and U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico by early Wednesday, and hurricane watches have been issued for these areas.
Puerto Rican Gov. Ricardo Rossello on Monday declared a state of emergency in the U.S. territory.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott urged Florida residents on Monday to be prepared for Irma to hit. Scott later issued a state of emergency for all of Florida.
“Hurricane Irma is a major and life-threatening storm and Florida must be prepared,” Scott said. “Families should take time today to make sure you have a disaster plan and fully-stocked disaster supply kit.”
