Karens Aren’t the Problem; These People Are

While Karens have been around for a while, “Taylors” are a fairly new cultural phenomenon who condemn others based on an ever-changing morality in defense of perceived victim groups. They would never say it, but they are among our nation’s fiercest culture warriors. Taylors will refuse to participate in a family gathering because a conservative might attend or will take the time to scold you in a meeting or online if you fail to uphold THEIR standards of morality. Mostly, they like to spend time on Twitter, but when they do encounter people they are happy to correct the other person’s thinking whenever possible…

“Taylorism” and “tayloring” come from a good place. They are a manifestation of the maternal desire to protect foisted upon the workplace. Overworked, undernourishing mothers and would-be mothers fill the workplace today with their misplaced safetyism. This new generation of overprotected, hyperemotional young people, both women and men, have embraced our feminizing culture and never been more anxious and depressed nor so eager to tell the whole world about it.
