The media made a big deal of Donald Trump’s meeting with Leonardo DiCaprio, who’s been a perennially Hollywood mouthpiece for Al Gore’s global hot-air campaign.
But after the meeting DiCaprio declares he believes Trump will “do the right thing.”
Here’s more from Newsmax:
President-elect Donald Trump will do the right thing about climate change, according to actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
The actor made the assertion to patrons in the restaurant Rao’s after meeting with the president-elect last week, Page Six reported.
DiCaprio, who started the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation in 1998 to protect ecosystems that have been endangered by climate change, met with the billionaire Republican last Wednesday to talk about the subject.
The Academy Award-winning actor also gave a copy of the documentary “Before the Flood,” which he co-produced, to Trump’s daughter Ivanka, The Independent reports. According to Politico, Ivanka Trump is looking to make climate change a signature issue.
