Liberal U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel blocked a new Texas law that bans dismemberment abortions in the Lone Star state.
The procedure is most often used in the second trimester when babies most often are viable and in which tools are used literally to kill the baby by ripping apart the body while the heart is still beating.
The bill would have gone into effect the next day if not for the ban, making Texas the eighth state to do so.
Texas AG Ken Paxton has already vowed to appeal the ruling and defend the law which was supported overwhelmingly in the state’s legislature.
It’s just one more example of why the federal courts need to be reined in from the ongoing judicial tyranny.

In a horrible affront to the sanctity of life, and just common decency, a liberal Texas judge has blocked a Texas law that would ban abortion by dismemberment.

U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel blocked Texas Senate Bill 8 one day before it would have gone into effect, according to the Tribune News Service.
Signed into law earlier this summer, Texas Senate Bill 8 prohibits dismemberment abortions, a method typically used in the second trimester to kill nearly fully-formed, living unborn babies. It is a barbaric and dangerous procedure in which the unborn baby is ripped apart in the womb and pulled out in pieces while his or her heart is still beating.
With liberals, their sacred cow will always be abortion, and even the most horrific forms of the procedure will be defended with ghoulish zeal.
In Yeakel’s ruling today, he set up a restraining order for 14-days. On September 14, he’ll hold a hearing to consider an indefinite block against the law.
“The act leaves that woman and her physician with abortion procedures that are more complex, risky, expensive, difficult for many women to arrange, and often involve multi-day visits to physicians, and overnight hospital stays,” the judge wrote.
He also argued that women would “suffer irreparable harm by being unable to access the most commonly used and safest pre-viability-second-trimester-abortion procedure,” which dismembers their unborn babies, the AP reports.
