If we didn’t know any better, we’d be tempted to conclude that the Obama administration’s official personnel handbook included instructions on how to obfuscate and circumvent justice via use of private email accounts.
News has just hit the headlines today that former Attorney General Loretta Lynch used a private email alias to coordinate with various individuals on how to spin her clandestine ‘totally by accident’ tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton.
This is getting ridiculous.
Let’s summarize: Loretta Lynch pressured then-Director James Comey to spike the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as it was damaging her campaign for president.
Lynch then met with Bill Clinton to strategize on said spiking.
Then when the meeting became public, she did exactly the thing for which Hillary was under investigation in order to avoid getting caught for attempting to spike the Hillary investigation.
Folks, that’s what we call a super-sized political pretzel of corruption.
The left’s response? Squirrel! Russia. Bannon. Global warming. [insert long, dramatic sigh].

A pile of emails have been released regarding the extremely inappropriate airport tarmac meeting between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton, whose wife was under criminal investigation by the Justice Department.
Lynch apparently used an email alias while trying to spin responses to media inquiries.
Loretta Lynch used the alias “Elizabeth Carlisle” for official emails as attorney general, including those related to her infamous tarmac meeting last summer with former President Clinton.
The emails were included in 413 pages of Justice Department documents provided to conservative watchdog groups Judicial Watch and American Center for Law and Justice.
Top federal officials using email aliases is not illegal or new, considering others in the former Obama administration also used them, arguing security concerns and spam to their official email addresses swamping their in-boxes.
Eric Holder, Lynch’s predecessor, used “Lew Alcindor,” the former name of retired NBA star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
However, critics of the practice argue that such aliases can result in some requested emails to and from officials going undetected.
Lynch used the alias to help craft responses to media requests about the meeting, the documents show.
I’m no lawyer but federal officials using aliases online seems like a blatant attempt to circumvent transparency, especially in this case where Lynch was discussing a problematic meeting that should not have occurred.
The meeting came amid an FBI investigation into whether Clinton’s wife, then the Democratic presidential nominee, had revealed classified information when using private email servers while secretary of state.
About a week later, FBI Director James Comey concluded the case by saying Clinton was “extremely careless,” but recommended the Justice Department not pursue criminal charges.
In Senate testimony earlier this year, Comey said the meeting was a “deciding factor” in his decision to act alone to update the public on the investigation.
