Media Busted: Three Fake News Fails in One Week

President Trump was triple-vindicated this week after three major leftist media outlets were caught pushing stories that either show gross negligence or outright fake news attempts to enflame conspiracy.

All failed miserably.

ABC pushed a story about Michael Flynn that alleged collusion, except the dates were wrong proving it was a nothing burger.

Reuters and Bloomberg pushed a story about a Mueller subpoena of Trump’s bank records, except they weren’t Trump’s bank records.

And finally, CNN pushed a conspiratorial story about Trump Jr. and an email from Wikileaks. Except, again, the dates were all wrong.

It’s simply more evidence that the liberal media are getting more desperate every day in their efforts to take down President Trump.

The media is having a rough week when it comes to reporting on the federal government’s multiple ongoing Russia investigations. Three stories in the past seven days have crumbled under greater scrutiny.

Why it matters: In today’s hyperpolarized world, “fake news” has become a refrain to describe stories that observers on both sides of the spectrum decide that they don’t like. These reporting issues by esteemed media organizations give credence to that ignorance, which further damages the value of insightful, impactful reporting — especially when it comes to one of the biggest, most polarizing stories of our political age: the Russia probe.
