House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in an interview on Wednesday that lawmakers are “stupid” if they don’t support climate change legislation.
She blasted Republicans over a wide range of issues, belittling them when she could not find better ways of debating.
Pelosi has been traveling across the country, averaging five states a week before the 2022 midterms. She said it’s all about turnout and that the “public is with us.” She said Democrats have outraised Republicans, who rely on their so-called “dark money.”
Pelosi steered away from the top concerns pressing the nation, focusing on abortion rights, social safety net programs and climate change. Polls indicated that the top priorities for Americans right now, are the economy and inflation. Read more…
