President Donald Trump said that “nobody’s gotten to the bottom of 9/11” while being asked about his involvement with the LIV golf tournament.
The LIV golf tournament, which is a competitor to the PGA Tour, has received a great deal of flak for being backed by Saudi Arabia. A reporter questioned Trump’s involvement with the tour and his thoughts about ongoing protests against the Saudis. While giving his response, Trump bemoaned the lack of answers about who is really behind the Sept. 11 attacks.
“Well, nobody’s gotten to the bottom of 9/11, unfortunately, and they should have, as to the maniacs that did that horrible thing to our city, to our country, to the world, so nobody’s really been there, but I can tell you that there are a lot of really great people that are out here today, and we’re going to have a lot of fun, and we’re going to celebrate, and money is going to charity, a lot of money is going to charity, and you have really the best players in the world,” Trump said.
