Left-wing oligarch George Soros donated $1 million to the gubernatorial campaign of Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke. On November 8, 2022, O’Rourke seeks to oust incumbent Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
According to a report by The Blaze, this donation was highlighted in the most recent finance report for the O’Rourke campaign.
Abbott still commands a comfortable lead in the polls against his Democratic rival. So far, O’Rourke has amassed a large number of donations. In the latest financial report, which recorded donation details from February to June, the O’Rourke campaign said it gathered $27.6 million in donations. This figure was $2.7 million higher than what the Abbott campaign recorded.
In sum, Abbott has $45.7 million cash on hand. In O’Rourke’s case, he only has $23.9 million available for spending on the 2022 midterm elections. Read more…
