Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin published a video on Wednesday showing a significant number of military-aged Middle Eastern males illegally crossing the U.S. southern border. This footage raises serious concerns about national security, especially given that many of these individuals are classified as “special interest aliens,” meaning they originate from countries known for Islamic terrorism and require thorough vetting by the Department of Homeland Security.
In his report, Melugin revealed that the illegal immigrants he encountered in Southern California came from countries such as Iran, Pakistan, China, Turkey, India, and Bangladesh. “You can see adult men from all around the world are showing up here in sanctuary state California to cross our border illegally in the middle of the night,” Melugin told Fox News host Jesse Watters. The video, shot in Jacumba, east of San Diego, at 2:00 a.m., shows groups of predominantly Middle Eastern and Asian men crossing the border with apparent ease and indifference.
Melugin pointed out that none of the men were from Mexico, despite entering the U.S. through the Mexican border. This highlights the diverse origins of the illegal immigrants and underscores the challenge of securing the border against a wide range of potential threats.
Melugin also shared insights from a local resident, a former U.S. military member, who collects discarded passports and IDs left by illegal immigrants as they cross into Jacumba. “He has hundreds from China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and many others,” Melugin reported. “Some of them are burned, cut, shredded as these migrants try to destroy their documents to hide who they are and where they’ve been.”
This alarming situation underscores the urgent need for stricter border security measures and more effective immigration policies. The influx of undocumented individuals from high-risk countries poses a potential threat to national security, and the apparent ease with which they cross the border highlights significant gaps in the current system. For conservatives, this is yet another example of the critical need for a secure and controlled border to protect American citizens and uphold the rule of law.
