Surprising Poll: Trump’s Triumph in Blue Minnesota!

It seems that Minnesota is becoming a battleground for former President Donald Trump, according to a recent KSTP/Survey USA poll. Trump has been signaling his intent to expand his electoral reach, targeting traditionally Democratic states like New York, New Jersey, Virginia, New Mexico, and Minnesota.

This strategy was evident during Trump’s rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, where he drew a massive crowd of approximately 100,000 supporters. Additionally, Trump is slated to headline the Minnesota Republican Party’s Lincoln Reagan dinner, underscoring his focus on the state.

The latest poll indicates a tight race between Trump and President Joe Biden in Minnesota, with only two percentage points separating them — 44 percent for Biden and 42 percent for Trump, with nine percent undecided. This shift reflects a narrowing gap compared to earlier polls, where Biden held a four-point lead in February.

Interestingly, Trump and Biden are tied among independents, each garnering 36 percent support. Trump also leads Biden in several regions of Minnesota, while Biden maintains an advantage in the Twin Cities.

These findings align with other polls showing a competitive race in Minnesota. A May survey by McLaughlin & Associates revealed Trump leading Biden by three points in a state that hasn’t voted Republican in presidential elections for decades. Trump’s near-win in 2016, where he lost by just 1.5 percent, indicates the state’s potential for a Republican victory.

Trump’s campaign has prioritized Minnesota as a winnable state, with Trump himself expressing confidence in flipping it red this time around. His pollster, John McLaughlin, has affirmed that both Minnesota and Virginia are within reach for Trump’s reelection bid.
