Trump to Join Fox News’ Sean Hannity for 2nd Town Hall

NTD has learned that former President Donald Trump, the frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, is scheduled to participate in a town hall hosted by Fox News next week. The event, moderated by Sean Hannity, will take place in Clive, Iowa, and will cover a range of topics related to the upcoming presidential race. This will be Trump’s second major town hall on a cable news channel since announcing his campaign in 2022.

Trump’s relationship with Fox News has been strained in recent months, with the former president criticizing the network for its positive coverage of Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Despite this, Trump’s rallies and live speeches have not been carried by Fox News this time around, drawing criticism from his allies, including Steve Bannon, who accused the network of disrespecting Trump and having contempt for their viewers.

When Trump appeared on CNN for a town hall earlier this month, the network experienced a ratings boom, drawing 3.12 million total viewers for the event. However, the decision to give Trump a platform received backlash from Democrat and left-wing pundits who felt it was unnecessary. CNN CEO Chris Licht defended the decision, highlighting the support Trump still enjoys across the country.

While media reporter Oliver Darcy, who has been critical of Trump in the past, described the event as a spectacle of lies, Fox News contributor Ben Domenech praised Trump’s performance and called the town hall a humiliation for mainstream media.

As the 2024 presidential race heats up, Trump’s participation in this town hall event is expected to generate significant attention and further solidify his position as the leading candidate for the GOP nomination.
